Great views, great food, great service...and even great vibes! everything you could possibly want on a beautiful afternoon in the Tampa Bay Area!! We had a party of 4 ...water views and some good music on a Sunday afternoon! Thank you Hula Bay for not disappointing!! We had the shrimp appetizer and salads, fish platter, and shrimp meal! I was too busy taking in the views to take pictures of the food! Sorry but it was all delicious!!
Truly enjoy this place! Decided to pop by and grab some lunch today. Despite being busy, service was relatively quick and the server was nice. Hula Bay itself is current closed for renovations, thus limiting the menu a bit, but there's still a lot to choose from. The waterfront views, music from a live band, and just overall atmosphere is pretty laidback.
We were able to eat At Dukes as Hula Bay is under renovation. Aloe took excellent care of us and was attentive. We ordered the conch fritters and they came out quickly. They were fresh, hot, and crunchy. The fried shrimp boat was huge with lightly breaded shrimp and crispy French fries. It never disappoints and the view is awesome! We saw a couple of the local fur babies to make our visit complete.
Surprised it got such low ratings! I thought the food, service, and atmosphere were 10/10 overall. Came here on a Sunday and we were able to sit by the water and they had live music! I was able to bring my dog too. I will definitely be back here. What I ordered: - Local Smoked Fish Dip - Spicy Tuna Nachos: Tuna poke, pickled jalapeño and habanero tobiko over wonton chips with wasabi aioli and kabayaki. - Mussels: Black mussels sautéed in wine, garlic, onion, tomato, herbs and lemon butter sauce. Served with cheese bread. - Crunch Grouper Nuggets Fresh grouper dipped in beer and rolled in crunched corn flakes, served with key lime tartar. - The Wedge: Crisp iceberg with crumbled applewood bacon, plum tomato slices and Duke's double cheese dressing. - Shrimp Tempura: Crisp shrimp, volcano sauce, avocado and smelt roe.
